Ask Aero Brief to retrieve the latest available METAR from over 2000 airport sites worldwide. To avoid ambiguity, you must use the phonetic alphabet to request the station's ICAO code.
Aero Brief attempts to read the report in an ATIS style. It can also decode RVR and runway state. Some remarks are decoded but most are ignored.
The raw METAR is available to view in the Alexa app.
Where Aero Brief has not been able to decode an element of the report correctly, it logs the error to allow the developers to improve the skill. It also learns to spot homonyms from the phonetic alphabet such as 'lima' and 'lemur' to give you the result you want more often.
