Learn all the Q-Codes by asking for a random sample now and again. Codes like QSL, QSY, QRT are used regularly by radio hams in speech as well as morse code. Learn a few that even the most experienced ham will have to look up on the web. These codes originated in wired telegraphy and some have ceased to be relevant, but many are used today by amateur radio operators, and you may hear some of them spoken in speech transmissions.
