This is a University of Bristol Arm Strength exercise research skill, based on the “Exercises for older people: Strength” guide developed by NHS Choices.
Use this skill to guide you through four arm exercises:
Chest Stretch-"Alexa ask Arm Strength how can I do Chest Stretch".
UPPER BODY TWIST-"Alexa ask Arm Strength about Upper Body Twist".
Wall Press Up– “Alexa ask Arm Strength how to do Wall Press-Ups”.
Bicep Curls– “Alexa ask Arm Strength what's the guide for Bicep Curls”
If you’ve not done much physical activity for a while, you may want to get the all-clear from a GP before starting.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and keep some water handy.
Try to attempt these exercises at least twice a week, this will help to improve muscle strength, balance and co-ordination.
Build up slowly and aim to increase the repetitions of each exercise over time.
