Get an update on your house move with askPLS, an intelligent Alexa Skill which allows you to remotely check the status of your case. As your case progresses through the legal process, the askPLS Skill can both update you in real time and explain 101 different pieces of conveyancing terminology along the way.
By choosing the askPLS Alexa Skill, you can “askPLS” everything from whether PLS Solicitors has received your legal documentation, your solicitors contact details, whether they have received your mortgage offer or if exchange of contracts has taken place. You can even askPLS to access your fees and any disbursements or why PLS Solicitors is charging a specific fee - Alexa will explain ‘why’ in detail.
HOW TO USE
In order to use the Skill you must be a PLS Solicitors customer.
You will need to download the Skill via a smartphone application (the “Amazon Alexa App”), install on your phone and enter your email address in the ‘List Sharing’ screen in preference, then enable the skill.
Once the skill has downloaded, you will also need to grant the skill permissions to access your email address and first name.
To grant permissions, first ensure that you are in the home screen. From here click the three lined navigation button, from the sub menu select “Skills & Games”. If the skill is enabled it will be under the section “Enabled”. From here you can select the “askPLS” skill from the list.
Once selected click “settings”, this will show if the account permissions have been granted. It will either have green “Granted” text or red “Not Granted” text. The skill required both be granted, click the text “manage account permissions” and tick both boxes. Once done press “Save Permissions”, the permissions should now have the green “Granted” text next to each of them.

The Skill allows you to receive information from PLS Solicitors and access to your case by using your Alexa-enabled device. Using the Skill consists of you speaking commands and questions aloud to your Alexa-enabled device, and then receiving responses from us through your Alexa-enabled device. When you use the Skill, Alexa relays your queries to our Skill, which in turn retrieves the requested information and presents it to you.
