To communicate with Google Smart Home, you need an Avi-on Remote Access Bridge (RAB) in your Avi-on network. Why? Because the RAB translates the Bluetooth signals of Avi-on compatible switches and devices into the Wi-fi signals of Google Home. The Avi-on RAB enables you to use Home Control from Google Home and the RAB also enables you to control your Avi-on network from anywhere in the world. To get started, please follow these steps. 1) Use the Avi-on Mobile App to add the RAB to your Avi-on account and configure the Wi-fi settings. 2) Open Google Smart Home App, go to Home Control, click "+" and find "Avi-on Smart Home".
3) Enter your Avi-on username and password to link your Avi-on account and to sync your Avi-on compatible devices. Tip: Keep names short and simple without numbers. Long names are more difficult for Google Smart Home to understand and synchronize. Once you have customized the names of your devices, groups, or scenes, you can say any of the following commands (and many more): "Okay Google, turn on 'coffee pot'"
"Okay Google, set the 'office lights' to 50%"
"Okay Google, dim/brighten the 'entry way lights'"
"Okay Google, turn on the 'after hours scene'"
