Black Country Talking News provides free weekly recordings of news and information for people with sight loss in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas like Bilston, Coseley, Willenhall, Kingswinford, and Darlaston.
It is provided by Beacon Centre for the Blind.
To get started, just say "Alexa, open black country talking news". If you choose to skip the introduction, you can say "help" at another time to hear it. You can also change playback speed or hear our contact details.
If you choose the "play faster" option, then audio playback of the recording should be 50% faster until your preference is changed again. If you have started listening to a track and then select "play faster", it will start again from the beginning of that same track.
Once playback has begun, only next, previous, repeat, exit, stop or cancel will be recognised.
Saying "repeat" during playback should rewind the track 30 seconds.
You can stop finish listening at a later date by saying "Alexa, open black country talking news". Saying "resume" will continue playback, and saying "start over" should always play the first track of the latest edition.
