Want to check your camera feeds without being anchored to your smartphone? No problem! You can now effortlessly monitor the Blink video security system live using voice commands with the Blink SmartHome Skill.

It’s simple, just ask Alexa:

“Alexa, show the <camera name> camera”
Use this command to start streaming a camera live.

“Alexa, hide the <camera name> camera”
Use this command to stop an activity and return to the Echo Show or Fire TV home screen.

To arm/disarm your Blink system, say:
“Alexa, ask Blink to arm [system name]”
"Alexa, ask Blink to disarm [system name], my pin is ####"

To learn when the latest motion clip was recorded, say:
“Alexa, ask Blink when was my last motion alert?”

To learn how many unread and read motion clips you have, you can say:
“Alexa, ask Blink how many motion clips do I have?”

To check your scheduled arming/disarming, say:
"Alexa, ask Blink what's my schedule?"

To check your current Blink system status, say:
“Alexa, ask Blink what is my status?"

Alexa will remind you when your Blink camera batteries are running low, and can help set up smart reorders to proactively have batteries in hand when you need them.

Note: In order to use Amazon Alexa with your Blink video security system, you’ll need a Blink account and a Blink camera system installed in your home. Then, getting started is easy:

Simply link your Blink account to Alexa within the Alexa mobile app (Skills > Type in & search “Blink SmartHome” > Select “Blink SmartHome” > Select “Enable”.) and login to link your Blink account.
