Blueair Smart Home Skill The Blueair Smart Home Skill allows you to create routines where your air purifier turns on or off, and you can interact with your air purifier using rooms or friendly names as defined in the Alexa app.
To get started with the Blueair Smart Home Skill, follow these steps: 1. Download the Blueair Friend app from your relevant app store. Register an account, login and follow the app instructions to connect your product. 2. Ensure your Alexa device is paired and online. Open the Alexa app. Select the “Smart Home” menu option. 3. Select “Discover Devices” to allow Alexa to discover Blueair devices currently online. 4. When the Blueair smart home skill has been successfully enabled, you are able to include the function of turning on and off your Blueair air purifier in your routines and communicate with your air purifier using rooms or friendly names.
• Air purifier control: You can turn your Blueair air purifier on or off, example phrases: “Alexa, turn on the air purifier” “Alexa, turn off the air purifier” “Alexa, turn on [Name of your Blueair air purifier as defined in the Alexa app] “Alexa, turn off [Name of your Blueair air purifier as defined in the Alexa app]
• Routines: To control routines, simply tell Alexa to turn on [Routine name] in the [Room name]. Examples: - "Alexa, turn on “Bedtime” in the Bedroom". - "Alexa, turn on “Dinner” in the Kitchen”.
The Blueair air purifier will turn on or off depending on how you designed your routine.
• Rooms: To control several devices in the same room, simply tell Alexa to turn on [Room name]. - “Alexa, turn on Living room”. - “Alexa, turn off Bedroom”.

Blueair’s connected products also supports Alexa custom skills providing a lot more functionality and ways to interact. To enable Blueair custom skills for your product, open the ‘Skills’ menu in the Alexa app and search for ‘Blueair Custom Skill’.
