With the Bose skill and Alexa, you can now play your favorite music on your Bose SoundTouch speakers by voice. To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your Bose SoundTouch account and discover your speakers. Then, using any Alexa-enabled device like an Echo or an Echo Dot, you can talk to Alexa to play music on your SoundTouch speakers.
For example, say “Alexa, play some jazz in the kitchen” to get the music started on your SoundTouch speaker named “Kitchen”. Once music is playing, you can also control the experience by voice. For example:
“Alexa, pause the bedroom.” “Alexa, skip the track in the dining room.” “Alexa, turn up the volume in the living room.”
When making a request, remember to say the name of the speaker, which you can set in the SoundTouch app. Currently you can play music from Amazon Music, Deezer and TuneIn. Make sure to link your accounts for these music services in the Alexa app.
By enabling the skill, any interactions you have with Bose through the skill are subject to the Bose SoundTouch Privacy Policy provided below. The skill is compatible with all Bose SoundTouch speakers. Please note that you will need to link your SoundTouch account with Alexa in order to use the skill. If you are a new SoundTouch owner, you will need to create your SoundTouch account first using the SoundTouch app.
