The Cell Phone skill helps you call or text your friends in any country via mobile phone no matter if they have an Alexa device or not. No need to install additional applications. All countries are supported! Tell your phone number and the phone number of your friend. The skill will call you and your callee over the phone and create a joint conference so you both can talk to each other. The Cell Phone skill saves your money on international calls and roaming since you don't have to make outbound calls. To get started, open the "Cell Phone" skill and tell Alexa your name and phone number in the international format. The number should start with a country code, without "+" in the beginning. UK-based number: 44 20 7183 8750 Cell Phone uses the following phone number to make calls and send SMS (make sure that your operator doesn't block this number): + 1 (914) 252-3987 You need an active subscription in order to make calls and send messages. Cell Phone has 3 subscription plans based on your needs: Small plan - 10 calls (20 min), 10 SMS per month Medium plan - 30 calls (60 min), 30 SMS per month Unlimited plan - 50 calls (100 min), 100 SMS per month Note that conference calls are limited to 2 minutes. MAKE CALLS 1. Open Cell Phone and say "Call" followed by the name of a contact. For example: "Call my mom". 2. If this contact is not in your saved contacts, Alexa will ask you for a phone number. Tell the person's phone number in the international format and repeat the call request. 3. Confirm the call. In a few seconds, you and your contact will receive an incoming call from Alexa. Pick up the phone and wait until the person on the other end answers. SEND MESSAGES 1. Open Cell Phone and say "Text" followed by the name of a contact you want to send SMS. For example: "Text Jimmy". 2. Say your message. 3. Confirm the sending of the message. Done! Your contact will receive an SMS from Alexa in a few seconds. SMS will include your name and phone number, so the person will know who sent it. EDIT CONTACTS Ask "Who is in my contacts" to see your contacts list. You can say "add contact", "change contact" or "remove contact" to make changes.
This doesn't affect your phone's contacts book. CHECK BALANCE Say "Check balance" to get information about the number of calls and messages left. PRIVACY We do not record calls. We do not sell phone numbers and the information about your calls to third-party companies. Cell Phone doesn’t support landlines and paid phone numbers. Do not use this skill for emergency calls! The Cell Phone skill helps to connect people, no matter if they are both have Alexa devices or in different countries.
