Cocoon now works with Amazon Alexa. Use this skill to access key Cocoon features whilst at home.
Sound the siren If you’re home alone and hear something unusual you can sound Cocoon’s built-in siren with your voice. Sounding the 90dB alarm even if you’re not near your phone, simply by asking Alexa.
** UPDATE ** You can now ask Alexa to stop the siren. Once the siren’s sounding, Alexa will prompt you to ‘Let me know when to stop’. You can also still stop the siren from the Cocoon app.
Please note, the siren can only be stopped by Alexa if it was started by Alexa. If you’re away from home and sound your siren via the Cocoon app, anyone in your home will not be able to ask Alexa to stop the siren.
Arm Cocoon We know a lot of customers like to arm their Cocoon at night and while we are working on a Nightmode feature, we’ve made it easier for you to arm your Cocoon while you’re at home using Alexa. Just say ‘Alexa, tell Cocoon to arm the household’.
You’ll see when Alexa’s armed your Cocoon in the timeline of your Cocoon app.
Learn more about Cocoon You can also learn more about Cocoon by asking Alexa questions, such as ‘Alexa, ask Cocoon how it learns?’, ‘Alexa, ask Cocoon what is Subsound?’.
What we won’t do Security is at the heart of what we do and this means that you (or anyone else) will not be able to disarm your Cocoon with Alexa.
What’s next? Alexa support for other Cocoon features is coming soon.
