The Psalter (or commonly known as the Book of Psalms in the Bible) has been the common prayer book for believers for 1,000s of years. The Psalms teach believers how to pray and help them learn to express their own prayers.
The Anglican Book of Common Prayer (BCP) versifies the Psalms so that they can be read liturgically, prayed responsively, and even chanted. “Common Prayer” makes each of the BCP’s versified Psalms available to be read by Alexa and displayed on Echo devices with a screen. You can ask Alexa to pick a Psalm randomly or read a particular Psalm. You may also ask her to read a Psalm by quoting a portion of the Psalm.
