Welcome to the Cosy skill for Amazon Echo. This skill will enable you to ask Alexa to control your Cosy Smart Thermostat.
To get Cosy and Alexa working together there are a couple of things you need to check first:
IMPORTANT: To avoid an ‘Account Linking Error’ please ensure you are using the latest version of the app.
- You have a working Cosy system - Your Cosy App is updated to the latest version (without the latest version you will get an account linking error) o iOS: R3.3.449 or later with temperature graphs o Android App version R3.3 v3.3 #230 or later with temperature graphs
To find the version of your app, please go to:
Settings → Status. The version can be found at the bottom of the page.
Don’t worry if you don’t have the latest App, just pop along to your App store and download the latest version. Once you have the latest App your system will be added to the Alexa Skill which may take up to 48 hours. You will know when this has occurred as Cosy Temperature Graphs will appear on your app, you can find these here:
Dashboard → Activity log (bottom right hand button on the Dashboard)
The Graphs button will be in the middle of the page.
It’s easy to get started with Cosy and Alexa, you just need to enable the Cosy skill within the Alexa app and provide your login details so Alexa can link to your Cosy account.
After Alexa is connected to your Cosy account, you’re ready to try out some of the commands such as:
- “Alexa, ask Cosy to make it comfy” - “Alexa, ask Cosy to turn the hot water on / off” - “Alexa, ask Cosy to make it Cosy in Zone 2” - “Alexa, ask Cosy to change to slumber” - “Alexa, ask Cosy to hibernate” – switch everything off when you’re heading away
