Rolls dice (a single 6 sided die by default), but can be asked to roll any number of any types of dice (for example, 10 or 20 sided dice used in some boardgames).
The nomenclature used is number of dice, followed by a D, and then the number of sides of those dice. Example
3 D 20 (pronounced three-dee-twenty) = Three twenty-sided dice
