With the Energenie skill and Alexa, you can now interact with your Energenie devices by voice. To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your Energenie account and discover your devices. When using the skill, you need established names for your devices. There are two ways to define these names:
- Use the names you set up already. These are shown in the Energenie app and can be changed.
- Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the device to the group. More information is available at Create a Smart Home Device Group (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups-uk)
Once you know the name or group name for your devices, you can say the following:
"Alexa, turn on Bedside Lamp." "Alexa, turn off Living Room." "Alexa, set Downstairs temperature to 22 degrees." "Alexa, increase Living Room temperature by 5 degrees."
