The ERA Protect Skill allows you to interact with your ERA Protect Alarm System using the intelligent personal voice assistant Alexa. This gives you greater control of your ERA smart home security and therefore greater peace of mind. For additional security when disarming your Protect Alarm you will need to say your PIN.
To get started, enable the ERA Protect Skill and link your ERA Protect account to manage your devices with Alexa.
You can say: “Alexa, tell ERA Protect to…” This will activate Alexa and engage your ERA Skill and Protect Alarm System. You can then choose to arm or disarm, set home mode or turn your cameras on or off. When disarming you will need to say your 4-digit PIN for additional security. The first time you disarm, the ERA Protect Alarm will know you have not set a PIN and ask you to do so. To set a PIN, say: "Alexa, tell ERA Protect to set my PIN."
