This skill motivates kids to value and help their environment, community, as well as their own health. Kids start off at the barnacle level and are given a variety of missions to complete. These missions in some cases directly help the environment, the community, or the kiddo, such as picking up trash, talking to someone new at school, or trying new vegetables. But there are also missions that are more about building awareness and instilling joy in the small things around us such as watching a spider build a web or finding a tree to be a friend. As kids complete missions, they upgrade to other animal levels and have an option to skip missions they don't want to do.
The goal of this skill is to energize and make sure kids really see their environment, the people in their community, and themselves. Maybe someday they will change the world, maybe they won’t… but at the very least they’ll notice when someone throws some trash on the ground and doesn’t pick it up. :)
