You can use this skill to operate your RADEMACHER HomePilot® Smart Home system simply and comfortably with your voice.
In addition to roller shutters, Venetian blinds and lighting, the HomePilot® interlinks up to 100 other electronic devices.
Commissioning:
To control your HomePilot® with Alexa, you must first activate the skill and then link it to your HomePilot® using your WR Connect account information. To do this, you will be automatically redirected.
Enable devices for Alexa:
The HomePilot® does not automatically enable devices for Alexa. This means that you can exclude the remote control or operation of safety-critical devices (e.g. garage door) via Alexa. Devices can be manually enabled through “Voice control” in the device settings.
• To do this, open the HomePilot® app • Select the device you want to control and go to “Voice control” in the device settings • Check the “Alexa” box there*
Search for devices:
Now you can get Alexa to search for your Smart Home devices. How to do this: • “Search devices” Alexa app function • Or with the voice command “Alexa, find my smart devices”
Operate devices:
The following device types are supported:
• Devices that can switch to a position (On/Off), e.g. adapter plug, switch actuator • Devices that can move to a position (% value), e.g. roller shutter motor, belt winder, dimmer • Devices that can set a temperature (°C), e.g. radiator actuator, room thermostat
Supported commands: • “Alexa, switch the ... on/off” • “Alexa, open/close the ...”*See “Operate group” • “Alexa, set the ... to ... percent” • “Alexa, increase/decrease the ... by ... percent” • “Alexa, set the ... to ... degrees” • “Alexa, switch on the ... scene”
A device with the device name “Lamp living room” can be switched on with the instruction: “Alexa, switch on the lamp living room”.
NOTE:
Device names: • Use the clearest possible device names to ensure that Alexa can operate your device reliably.
Device search: The device search is automatically executed by Alexa cyclically, but can also be started manually. The device names are therefore adapted automatically. A manual search is recommended if: • New devices are to be added immediately • Changed device names are to be accepted immediately
Device list, delete devices: • You can find the devices detected by Alexa in the “Device” menu in the Alexa app • Important: The device search does not remove deleted devices from the HomePilot®. These can be deleted in the “Devices” menu in the Alexa app.
Operate groups: You can create groups in the “Devices” menu in the Alexa app. The devices within these groups can then be operated together via a voice command. *Insert (p) or (P) in the device description in the HomePilot to be able to control a group of sun shading devices with the % command.
Execute scenes: The skill also allows manual scenes to be executed. However, scenes including a garage door drive cannot be executed. Simply check the “Alexa” box in the “Scene configuration” menu in “Voice control”
*Requirements: • You need a WR Connect account and the HomePilot® you want to control must be accessible through “WR Connect” • An established Amazon Alexa-enabled device (e,g. Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, etc.) • Check the “Alexa” box in the “Voice control” menu within the device or scene configuration • The following applies for HomePilot® versions < 5.x: Add the text “(Alexa)” anywhere in the description to transfer devices/scenes to Alexa _____________
To use the RADEMACHER HomePilot® skills, it is necessary that data from the enabled devices are transferred to Amazon in encrypted form and stored there.
“"Alexa, switch on the light in the living room!"”
