With the Legrand Integrated Solutions - home automation skill for Amazon Alexa, you can now interact with your Legrand Integrated Solutions devices by voice.
Hardware required: ICALIS SERVER (https://icalis.eu) or contact your sales representative for your Legrand products. All devices (dimmers, relays and thermostats) added in the ICALIS SERVER can be used and will be immediately available. Add the AlexaServer driver in ICS and select the 'installed apps' menu to visit the page to select the devices you want to show to your customer. You'll need the email address of your customer to be entered for account activation.
To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your Legrand Integrated Solutions - home automation account and discover your devices. Find more information about connecting smart home devices at Connect a Smart Home Device to Alexa (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home). All the device names will be available directly after discovery.
When using the skill, you need established names for your devices. There are two ways to define these names: Use the names you previously set up from the discovery. They are shown in the Legrand Integrated Solutions - home automation app and can be changed Optional: Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the device to the group. More information is available at Create a Smart Home Device Group (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups) Once you know the name or group name for your devices, you can say the following:
"Alexa, turn on Bedroom." "Alexa, set Downstairs temperature to 20 degrees."
