Between 1991 and 1998, Deep Thoughts and Fuzzy memories were a staple on SNL. Each segment was introduced by Phil Hartman, who would intone "And now, Deep Thoughts, by Jack Handey...", which would be followed by peaceful easy listening music, much like a New Age relaxation video. Handey would then read the Deep Thought as the text to it scrolled across the screen.
