Mark my words is a game where you need to count the number of letters in each word that Alexa says randomly and keep up the count. It's not that straight-forward though! There are some rules to how you should count.
Counting Rules: 1. A word that starts with a vowel carries a count equal to the number of letters in it plus 2. 2. A word that starts with a consonant carries a count equal to the number of letters in it plus 1. 3. A word that happens to be a number carries a count of 0.
Eg. 1.The word 'Apple' carries a count 7, that is 5 letters in the word plus 2, since it starts with the letter 'A', a vowel. 2. The word 'Mango' carries a count 6, that is 5 letters in the word plus 1, since it starts with the letter 'M', a consonant. 3. The word 'Eight' carries a count of 0, since it happens to be a number.
Rules for each mode: - If you choose to play in beginner mode, you just have to respond with the count as per the counting rules for each word Alexa says.
- In expert mode, you need to respond with a cumulative count that you need to keep adding from the count of each word within a level. At the start of each level, the cumulative count gets reset.
- In champion mode, it is cumulative count all the way right from the beginning till you conquer all the levels or until you lose the count.
You score one point every time you respond with the correct count.
As you keep scoring you would climb up the levels in the game. With each level, the random words Alexa says will be lengthier and lengthier, testing your spelling skills, memory, attention, and speed of calculation.
There are all time high score and daily high score for you to beat. Alexa has brought audience for you as well.
It is so much fun, and a good work out for you grey matter. Try it out !
