With the Metronet Skill and Alexa, you can now interact with your Metronet devices by voice. To get started, select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your Metronet account and discover your devices. When using the skill, you need established names for your devices. There are two ways to define these names:
- Use the names you previously set up in the Metronet platform. They are shown in the Metronet app too and can be set by your installer
- Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the device to the group. More information is available at 'Create a Smart Home Device Group' (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups)
Once you know the name or group name for your devices, you can say the following:
"Alexa, turn on Kitchen Light"
"Alexa, turn off Irrigation"
