This skill is compatible with HDANYWHERE’s (HDA) MHUB 4K PRO systems only and you must have DASH 7.0 installed (or higher) in order to work. This skill will require account linking and you will need to provide your HDA Cloud details to link accounts.
With the MHUB 4K skill enabled you can control your TV, MHUB and source devices using just your voice* - no need for a remote control!.
To start, select the "Enable Skill" button in the Alexa App and follow instructions to pair the skill to your HDA Cloud Account.
The MHUB 4K skill works by using the data you have stored on your MHUB to work.
To test if things are working ask MHUB to switch sources (replace [source name] with a name/label you have provided in DASH):
“Alexa, tell my TV to switch to [source name]
Your MHUB should switch from its current source device to the one you asked it to. If it works, then your accounts are linked and MHUB is responding to your voice! You can then configure the rest of Alexa’s commands, and what they do, from inside DASH. We call these chained commands: Sequences, it's also commonly known as a macro. It will then be possible to all of the following:
-- “Alexa, tell my TV to increase volume by 5” (increase/decrease your TV volume by any number you want
-- “Alexa, tell my TV to mute” (mutes your TV or AVR - your choice)
-- “Alexa, tell my TV to go to BBC” (will go to whatever channel you call BBC - BBC One, Two, Four… again the choice is yours)
-- “Alexa, tell my TV to watch Movies” (will instruct MHUB to do a complex sequence of commands, in this case “watch movies” might turn on your projector, set the volume to a particular level and turn on your Bluray player)
-- “Alexa, tell my TV to resume in bedroom” (will pause your TV in the room you are in, and will turn the TV off. At the same time it will turn on the TV in your bedroom and wait for you to resume watching there)
All of these functions are entirely configurable. For full documentation and how to get the most out of Alexa, please visit our support site http://support.hdanywhere.com
