Mig welding typically has two settings, power and wire speed. This skill allows you to specify the thickness of wire and material and in return it calculates the power in amps, and wire speed in inches per minute (IPM).
Note that these values are approximations; you will want to verify whether your welder is capable of the values returned. Also note that these values are for general carbon steel and non-flux core wire.
