With MOTION Blinds and Alexa, you can now interact with your motorized window coverings. MOTION Blinds seamlessly connects wih Alexa to allow you to activate your favorite scenes and blind positions with your voice.
To get started, select the 'Enable skill' button in the Alexa app to link the MOTION Blinds skill. Say 'Alexa, discover devices' or press the discover devices button in the Alexa app to discover new motorized blinds. Your named devices will appear on the new devices list. You can now set your blinds to any preferred position by interacting with Alexa.
Scenes To control scenes, simply tell Alexa to turn on <name of the blind or scene as created in the MOTION Blinds app>. For example: ‘Alexa, turn on <goodmorning>’ ‘Alexa, set <left roller blind> to 30%’
Rooms To control multiple blinds in the same room, create an Alexa group and add the blinds to the group in the Alexa app. More information is available at http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups. To control a group of roller blinds, simply tell Alexa to turn on <name of group as created in the Alexa app>. For example: 'Alexa, turn on kitchen to 50%'
