The My Family Alexa Skill provides some light-hearted fun for those mildly irritating moments at home when you need a voice of authority with a witty retort, or the soothing tones of Alexa to highlight an endearment.
Responses are always witty and light-heart, appropriate for all ages. Where possible swear words spoken by the user are filtered out and met with a response excluding any such words.
This skill does NOT store any information supplied by the user beyond it’s use in the immediate response.
The skill’s main function recognises a name and a subject to generate a response.
For example if you say:
“Alexa, open My Family and tell Charlie to turn the lights off”
Alexa picks out “Charlie” and “lights” and will respond with:
“Hey, Charlie! The international space station just called, and asked if you could turn the lights off. You’re burning a hole in the atmosphere and they’re trying to get some sleep”
A selection of other things you can say: tell Jane I love her tell Peter to stop farting ask James where he left the TV remote tell James to turn the Xbox off now tell Jane to have a shower tell Peter to stop picking his nose tell James to do his homework now tell Jane it’s bedtime now.
