The My Kirklees skill is an official skill provided by Kirklees Council which allows residents of Kirklees to:
• find out the opening and wait times at waste sites • find upcoming bin collection dates • find what can be disposed of in brown and green bins • where's your nearest bottle bank • find upcoming bin collection dates • report a missed bin. • where you can get tested for covid19 • how your business can get help during the pandemic • how you can get help during the pandemic • Kirklees councils leader and chief executive
Who can use the skill.
The skill is available to residential addresses within the Kirklees area. To function correctly you must share the registered address of your devices with My Kirklees.
If Alexa does not recognise your address -
Make sure you have your Kirklees address setup within your Alexa App to obtain local information.
Go into the Alexa app and select Settings > Device Settings > Echo Dot (or equivalent dependent on your device) > Location > and enter your full Kirklees residential address.
For example:
• 1 High Street - as the Street Address • Huddersfield - as the Town/City • HD1 1AA - as the Postcode.
The Alexa App might suggest an address based on what you enter. If it does please select the suggested address.
