Using voice commands with Alexa, you can get the following information on JPS accounts on your profile in the MyJPS Mobile App:
1. The status of an outage report you made
2. Your outstanding balance
3. The due date of your last bill
4. For smart meters only, the current usage
5. The last payment made
MyJPS Mobile App login details are required for account linking.
SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Create an alias for the JPS account or accounts on your JPS Mobile App profile.
Log into your MyJPS Mobile App profile, select “Menu’, then select “Manage Account” and create your alias for
that account. Repeat the process for any other account(s) on your profile, providing a different alias for each.
Especially if you have more than one account, this allows both you and Alexa to differentiate between accounts.
Step 1: Download the Alexa app from the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple Store (iOS) and sign in using
your amazon account - your amazon username and password, then select “Log In”. [Skip this step if you already
have the app installed]
Step 2: At the bottom right corner of the Alexa App’s home screen, tap the “More” button
Step 3: Select “Skills & Games”.
Step 4: Search by typing “MyJPS App”.
Step 5: Select “MyJPS App” from list and then select “Enable to Use”. You will be asked for your “MyJPS” login
information - please enter your username and password, then select “Log In”.
Once you have successfully linked Alexa with the MyJPS Mobile App, you can start interacting with Alexa using voice commands similar to those below:
Outstanding Balance
1. Alexa, ask MyJPS, about the balance on my account
2. Alexa, ask MyJPS, about my account balance
