The NAMO skill supports the full set of Alexa voice commands for controlling lights, thermostats, blinds, and even entire rooms if you should so desire to group appliances together in such a way. Here are some examples of commands that can be used with the NAMO.
For simple items like lights or fans: “Alexa, turn on [device or group name].” “Alexa, turn off [device or group name].”
For appliances that operate using percentages (%) or dimmers, such as specific types of lighting fixtures: “Alexa, set [device or group name] to [X] percent.” “Alexa, brighten [device or group name].” “Alexa, dim [device or group name].”
To set a thermostat: “Alexa, set [device or group name] to [X] degrees.” “Alexa, decrease [device or group name] by [X] degrees.” “Alexa, increase [device or group name] by [X] degrees.”
About the NAMO Skill
Anyone can easily connect to the NAMO App on their smart device by following these simple instructions:
(1) Begin by opening either the Google Play Store or the iOS App Store and downloading the Tzumi NAMO App. (2) You will be asked to complete Registration for the device. Create your account (or log in if you’re already registered). (3) Connect the NAMO smart device and use the NAMO App to configure them. From here you can change the names of devices as you’d like them displayed on your phone. (4) If you still need to download the Amazon Alexa app, do so now (available on the Amazon App Store, Google Play Store or the iOS App Store). (5) Configure your Echo device with the Alexa app. (6) Now when the Alexa App is open, your App Skills directory will display “Tzumi NAMO.” Select this option to see the Skill’s detail card. (7) Click “Enable Skill” and you will be redirected to a NAMO login page. (8) Enter your account username and password and you will be redirected to the Success page. (9) That’s it! At this point setup is complete and you are ready to begin using NAMO by interacting with the Skill using the commands described above.
