Track breastfeeding sessions with your voice. Nursing Tracker makes it easy to track how long a baby feeds on each breast, with left breast tracking and right breast tracking logged separately.
Can’t remember which breast your baby last nursed on last time? With this skill, you can say “Alexa, ask Nursing Tracker how long was the last feed?” to be reminded how long your baby nursed on each breast.
Want to review a history of your recent feeds to see the time spent on each breast? Simply open the skill in your Alexa App to view a record of all previous feeds and details of time on each breast.
TIPS TO GET STARTED Alexa turns off her “listening” ability after 7 seconds, even as the tracker continues to measure time. As a result, when you’re prepared to take an action like switch breast or end a feed, you’ll always need to say your command in two parts: Part 1: Re-open Nursing Tracker skill by saying “Alexa, ask Nursing Tracker to ___”. Part 2: Say the command, for example “start a feed” or “switch breast”.
EXAMPLE COMMANDS - Alexa, ask Nursing Tracker to: o Start a feed o Start tracker on left breast o Start tracker on right breast o Stop tracker o Stop a feed o Switch breast o Switch boob - Alexa, ask Nursing Tracker how long was the last feed?
Why TRACKING LEFT AND RIGHT BREASTFEEDING IS IMPORTANT Use Nursing Tracker to make it easy to remember which breast your baby feeds at and for how long. By ensuring each breast is used for breastfeeding, you can prevent the painful engorgement of one breast overfilling with milk. Use Nursing Tracker to check your baby is accessing your Hindmilk with longer feeds. Each breast holds two types of milk for your baby, the first type that comes out of the breast during a feed is Foremilk. After the foremilk is consumed, the breast provides fat-rich Hindmilk. Foremilk is sugary and sweet though not very filling for babies. Hindmilk is more fattening, and fills the baby’s stomach.
