With the Panasonic Smart Home skill and Alexa, you can now more efficiently control your household appliances, such as your fan, lights and kettle via the Panasonic Smart Plug. To get started, select the “Enable Skill” button in the Alexa App to link your Panasonic ID, and say “Alexa, discover devices”. Find more information about connecting Smart Home devices at http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home. To tell Alexa which device to control, use the names you have already set up in the Panasonic Home Network app, or create an Alexa group, like "Bedroom" or "Living room", and add the device to the group. More information is available at http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups. Once you know the name or group of your devices, you can say commands like these: - "Alexa, turn on the Bedroom Light". - "Alexa, turn off Living room”.
Here’s a step by step guide: (1). Download our "Panasonic Home Network" app in Google Play or the iOS App Store; (2). Connect the Panasonic smart devices and use the Panasonic app to configure them; (3). Register a new account in the Panasonic app (or log in if you’re already registered); (4). IMPORTANT: You can rename your devices in the Panasonic app, and Alexa will refer to them by the same name. So if you rename a smart bulb to “Living Room” or give it a nickname like “Blossom”, then Alexa will use that same name or nickname later on; (5). If your Echo device is not configured yet, download the Amazon "Alexa" app from the Amazon App store, Google Play or the iOS App Store and follow the instructions given by the app; (6). Search the Alexa Skills directory for "Panasonic Smart Home" and select it, the skill’s detail card will open; (7). Click “Enable skill” and you'll be navigated to a login page; (8). Input your account username and password, you'll be redirected to the success page; (9). Discover devices in the Alexa app or by saying “Alexa, discover devices”. (10). Now the setup is finished. You can interact with the skill using the commands described above.
Currently, this skill supports the Panasonic smart plugs and the temperature sensor of Indoor camera.
