Our skill allows you to quickly track the latest status of your Royal Mail deliveries. If you need to collect or drop off an item or print a label, it will help you find your nearest Royal Mail Delivery Office and its opening times. It also lets you find the last posting dates for sending your letters, cards & presents in time for Christmas.
How It Works:
• Simply provide Alexa with your Royal Mail tracking number or Alias name and Alexa will give you the latest status of your item.
How to set an Alias name (e.g. Mum’s birthday present) and track your item using your Alias name? - To track an item using an Alias name through the Royal Mail Alexa skill, you will firstly need to download and login into the Royal Mail App. - Next on the Royal Mail app, o Track your item using the ‘track your item’ feature. This will store the item to your tracking history. o Next click on the item in your tracking history and you will see a message which says, ‘name your item’. Here you can set your Alias name such as ‘Mums birthday present’. o Then here on the Royal Mail Alexa Skills page you have the option to enable the Royal Mail skill and the option to login to your Royal Mail Account. o On the Alexa skills page, login using the same login details which you used to login to the Royal Mail App. o Once logged in, your Royal Mail Alexa skill will sync up to their Royal Mail App.
You can continue to use the Alexa skill without logging in and just use your Royal Mail Tracking number.
Already tracked an item or given a postcode? Simply ask Alexa for an update on up to 10 items.
