With the Schlage Home app you can now use Google Assistant to control two Schlage smart locks – the Schlage Sense™ Smart Deadbolt (BE479) using the Schlage Sense™ Wi-Fi Adapter (BR400) or the Schlage Encode™ Smart WiFi Deadbolt (BE489WB). When using this Google Assistant app, you can lock your door and check to see if it's locked or unlocked. To get started:
1. Create a Schlage account using the Schlage Home app for iOS or Android.
2. Install your Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt or your Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt on your door and pair with your phone. (iOS users must choose to set up using the Schlage system.) 3. If you have the Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt, add the Schlage Sense Wi-Fi Adapter (BR400) to your account and pair the lock to the adapter using the instructions in the Home app. The Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt features built-in WiFi and does not require additional accessories to connect to your network.
4. Enable the Schlage Home app in the Google Assistant app. You will need to link your Schlage account to give the app permission to access your locks. After linking your Schlage account to the Google Assistant app, you can still use the Schlage Home app on iOS or Android to check lock status, lock and unlock your door, and manage access codes and virtual keys from your smartphone. Supported Models:
This app is for use with the Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt (BE479) and must be paired to a Schlage Sense Wi-Fi Adapter (BR400). It is also for use with the Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt (BE489WB). Note: Google Assistant voice commands cannot be used to unlock the door.
