With the Tapo and Alexa, you can now access your Tapo smart plug via voice control by simply saying "Alexa, turn on my bedroom lamp.", access your Tapo camera via voice control by simply saying "Alexa, show my baby room camera.", and access your Tapo smart light bulb via voice control by simply saying "Alexa, change the brightness of living room light to 50%". To get started, please make sure your Tapo device is online and updated to the latest firmware. Then select the 'Enable Skill' button in the Alexa App to link your TP-Link ID and discover your device(s). Find more information about connecting Smart Home devices at https://www.tapo.com.
When using the skill, you need to specify by name which device to use. There are two ways to define this/these name(s): *Use the name(s) you set up already - these are shown in the Amazon Alexa app and can be changed, or *Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add your device(s) to the group.
Once you know the name or group of your device(s), you can say the following: *If you have Tapo Camera, you can stream your Tapo camera videos to your Amazon Echo Show or Fire TV using simple voice commands. For example: "Alexa, show my Baby room camera" *If you have Tapo smart plug, you can turn on or off the small appliances plugged into your device(s). For example: "Alexa, turn on my bedroom lamp" *If you have Tapo smart light bulb, you can adjust the brightness of the light to get the room atmosphere you want. For example: "Alexa, change the brightness of living room light to 50%"
