THE BLIND HAMS NETWORK

This skill allows you to hear transmissions from the Blind Hams network, a multi-mode network of mostly blind and visually impaired amateur radio operators world-wide, with activity almost any time of day.

Whether you are interested in the hobby, or you are already a ham and want another way to monitor traffic on our network, this skill is for you.

The blind hams network is currently available using the following digital modes:

Allstar, node 50631
DMR, BM and TGIF talkgroups 31679
DStar, DCS or XRF679A
YSF reflector, 76138
Peanut, XLX679A
WIRES X, room 68022
Echo link, 461941 (*KE4DYI-L*)

There are usually at least a few analog repeaters connected full-time through Allstar and echo link, as well as personal nodes and hotspots.

Note: there will be periods of inactivity when no one is talking on the system. If you hear nothing for a while, don't worry. It's not broken.
