The Recycle Game is a fun way to keep track of your home recycling. Each time you put something into the recycling bin, tell Alexa what you just recycled and watch your score grow. Add as many players to the game as you want, and ask Alexa how you're progressing on a day-to-day, weekly, and monthly basis. Who will be the champion of the environment in your household?!
Alexa knows if you're trying to recycle something you shouldn't, like a pizza box, and stops you. You can ask her if you can recycle something if you're unsure. You can even tell her quantities ("Alexa, tell The Recycle Game I recycled ten soda cans!"). If you make a mistake, you can tell Alexa to take it back out of the recycle bin and she'll correct your score. Scoring is calculated within limits to keep everyone honest. You can also ask Alexa to give you a home recycling quiz, to check your knowledge about what you can and can't recycle (according to generally-accepted standards).
Ask Alexa how a specific player is doing for any given time interval (e.g., this week, last week, yesterday, last month, or even a specific day of the year) and she'll give you a breakdown of their recycling activity. You can also ask who the winner is for a time interval and find out the rankings.
You can optionally create a free account at Daysfly.com and link it within the skill by saying, "Link my account" (though it's not required, even if Alexa tells you otherwise). That allows you to play using the same account across all your Alexa-enabled devices. You can also upload a photo or avatar at Daysfly.com for each player so that their picture appears on an Echo Look (or any Alexa with a screen) every time they take the lead. You can delete unused accounts as well.
You can run reports on your recycling using the My Account page at Daysfly.com. View and download your progress over any time interval by player or by type of item recycled.
Using your Daysfly.com account, you can give others a code which they can add to any player in their own account. This allows them to link their account to a group -- like extended family members, a classroom, or a school -- and play against people outside their household. The results can be tallied by the person who creates the group to find out who is doing the most recycling. Get your entire family involved as champions of the environment!
