The UK Threat Level is a national security alert used by the UK Government to communicate the current threat level from terrorism to the UK public and civil organisations. This level is changed from time to time by the Government via the MI5 website; the last change was in May 2016 as of now (March 2017). This Skill therefore helps you track the current threat setting, comparing it to the last time it was run. Note that only anonymous session data is stored by this Skill.
To start this Skill after you have enabled it, simply say the following: "Alexa security level"
After the initial information, you will be asked if you would like more information - say "yes" to hear it or "no" to exit. This information includes a more detailed threat summary, an explanation of the threat level meanings, along with the phone numbers to dial to report any suspicious activity related to terrorism.
I welcome any constructive feedback for this Skill - please leave a descriptive review in the Alexa App.
Thank you! Alan Forsyth
