The Yale Smart Living skill allows you to control your Sync Smart Home alarm together with the connected smart locks, smart plugs and window sensors. To get started, search for Yale Smart Living skill in the smart home section of the Alexa app, then select the "Enable Skill" button to link your Yale Home App account and say, "Alexa, discover devices”.
The Yale Smart Living Smart Home skill functionality is only compatible with the Sync Smart Home Alarm.
Alarm (security panel): To control your alarm, simply tell Alexa to arm my <alarm name> or to arm my <alarm name> in <mode> mode (*mode = home, away) - "Alexa, arm my security panel". - "Alexa, arm my security panel in home mode”.
In the Yale Sync system you can arm the system in away mode (fully armed) and home mode (part armed).
You can also check the status of your alarm, simply tell Alexa is my <alarm name> armed/disarmed? - "Alexa, is my security panel disarmed?".
Locks: To control the Smart Locks connected to your Sync smart home alarm, you can ask Alexa is the <lock name> lock/unlocked? - “Alexa, is the front door locked/unlocked?”. - Locking/Unlocking is not supported
Smart Plugs: - You can turn smart plugs on/off, for example: “Alexa, turn on my TV” or “Alexa, turn off the Kitchen lights”.
Door/Window contact: - offers possibilities to check if a door or a window is open or close, simply ask Alexa is the <door/window contact name> open/closed? : - “Alexa, is the front door open/closed?”.
