You will need to have the Afero IoT software installed on your smart phone, and have created an account. For the best experience with Alexa, an Afero IoT hub should be running within range of the devices you wish to control.
Simply tell Alexa to "Discover my devices" and all your Afero IoT enabled devices will be available with the names you gave them.
