With Alexa, you can control all of your SLATE PRO 2.0 devices. First, install the AFX Light app from the app store.
Next, follow these steps: 1.Open the AFX Light app, register and create an AFX account. 2.Once you are logged in to the app select the “+” icon in the top right corner then select “Add devices” 3.Add all SLATE PRO 2.0 devices. They will appear as AFX1 or AFX2 depending on number of power supplies. Optional: Changing the name on your device. 1.Select the device in the AFX Light app you want to change the name. 2.Select the three dots in the upper right hand corner 3.Then select “Edit Light Name” 4.Input the desired name, then select save.
You can now control all of you lights with the AFX Light App.
In order to link your lights with Alexa they need to be connected to Wifi. Follow these steps to configure to the WiFi. 1.Select a device in the AFX Light app. 2.Select the three dots in the upper right hand corner 3.Then select “Configure WiFi” 4.To configure the WiFi, select the desired Network and input the password. Repeat these steps if multiple devices are being used.
Now let’s setup your Alexa Skills. 1.In your Amazon Alexa app click the top left menu icon and select “Skills & Games” and search for “AFX Light”. 2.Enable the “AFX Light” skill, this will lead you to the login page. 3.Input your AFX account user and password information and select next. 4.Select the network to be controlled by Alexa and you are done.
