SKILL UPDATE: You can now receive Person detected Alexa Announcements on your Alexa enabled devices when your Cloud Cam detects a person and also setup Alexa Routines including turning on supported lights, playing music and more!
Amazon Cloud Cam is an intelligent indoor security camera that works with Alexa. Ask Alexa to show Cloud Cam’s live view or your most recent event on your compatible Alexa devices. Cloud Cam automatically connects with compatible Alexa devices. No setup of the Cloud Cam skill is needed. Just ensure your Cloud Cam and Alexa devices are turned on and connected to Wi-Fi. The skill is automatically enabled upon registration of your first Cloud Cam and disabled once the last camera is de-registered.
To setup an Alexa Routine using motion detected by Cloud Cam or its on/off status, go to your Alexa App and click Routines. Then tap the ‘+’ sign located on the top right corner of the app and follow the prompts to create a Routine.
If you own an Echo device, you can choose to receive notifications from Cloud Cam. In the Alexa app, open Settings -> Notifications -> Amazon Cloud Cam. There you can toggle Alexa notifications for Cloud Cam ‘on’. You can also configure the types of notifications you receive (people vs general motion) and how frequently you receive them from the Alexa Notifications settings menu in the Cloud Cam app.
To see your Cloud Cam feed, you can say: “Alexa, show the front door”
To stop your Cloud Cam feed, you can say: “Alexa, stop” “Alexa, go home”
To turn on your Cloud Cam you can say: “Alexa, turn on front door”
To get your notification activity for the last 24 hrs. you can say: “Alexa, what're my notifications” “Alexa, play my notifications” “Alexa, delete my notifications” “Alexa, stop”.
To see your most recent video Clip on Cloud Cam you can say: “Alexa, show me the last activity from the front door” “Alexa, show the most recent event from the kids' room” “Alexa, pause” “Alexa, stop”
To see the most recent video clip with a person detected on Cloud Cam, you can say: "Alexa, show me the most recent person at the front door.” "Alexa, show me the last time someone was at the front door.”
When using this skill, please specify the name of the desired camera. The name of the camera is the one you selected during camera registration and can be configured in the Cloud Cam app. Currently, Cloud Cam cannot be turned off using Alexa and support for Alexa Routines is limited.
