The BGE Smart Home skill allows you to monitor and control your home with the power of your voice. You can send commands that control your home's smart plugs, lights and connected thermostat.
Before you begin: Once you've downloaded the BGE Smart Home app and created your BGE Smart Home account, you can enable this action. You will need to log into your account using the same credentials and link it to your Amazon Alexa.
To get started: You will need to have your BGE Smart Home gateway and devices installed. Learn more about the BGE Smart Home devices and get helpful installation tips at https://bgesmartenergy.com/residential/smart-home-pilot/participant
Next steps: After you have set up your BGE Smart Home environment, you can begin monitoring and controlling all of your connected devices. Here are some examples of things you can say: - "Alexa, turn [on / off] [smart home device / group name]." - "Alexa, set [smart home device / group name] to [##] %." - "Alexa, [brighten / dim] [smart home device / group name]." - "Alexa, set [smart home device / group name] temperature to [##] degrees." - "Alexa, [increase / decrease] the [smart home device / group name] temperature."
Grouping Devices: This smart home skill allows you to define customized groups of devices right in the Alexa App. For more information on how to manage your groups, visit the Amazon help page: http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups
