Using this skill, you can interact directly with Alexa using the latest Bose products that have integrated microphones. To get started, download the Bose Music app and link your Amazon account. That process will automatically enable this skill, and then you’ll be able to talk to Alexa via your Bose product to enjoy your favorite Alexa features, like playing music, checking the weather, or controlling smart home devices.
For example, to play music, say “Alexa, play some jazz” to get the music started. Once music is playing, you can also control the experience by voice. For example:
“Alexa, next track.” “Alexa, previous track.” “Alexa, what is playing?” “Alexa, stop.”
Currently you can play music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, Deezer, SiriusXM, iHeartRadio and TuneIn. Make sure to link your accounts for these music services in the Alexa app.
The skill is compatible with all Bose products that have integrated microphones. Please note that you will need to link your Bose and Amazon accounts using the Bose Music app in order to use the skill. If you are a new Bose owner, you will need to create your Bose account first using the Bose Music app. By enabling this skill, any interactions you have with Bose through the skill are subject to the Bose Privacy Policy provided below.
Please note that this skill is required to use Alexa on your Bose product. Please do not disable this skill. If you disable the skill accidentally, please re-enable it in the Alexa app and tap the “Discover Devices” button.
This skill is not intended for Bose SoundTouch speakers. If you are a SoundTouch user, please use the “Bose SoundTouch Control” skill and/or the “Bose” skill.
