Alexa, meet the C by GE family. The simple, connected lights, plugs and switches for everything you do. With the C by GE skill from GE Lighting and Alexa, you can now interact and control your C by GE lighting products like the your lights and devices with your voice. To get started, select the 'Enable' button in the Alexa App to link your C by GE account and discover your devices. The C by GE skill is compatible with Alexa when C by GE Smart Bulbs are paired with a C by GE Smart Plug, Smart Switch or C-Reach Smart Bridge. Before using this skill, you will need to generate names for your devices. There are two ways to define these names: • Use the names you previously set up in the C by GE app. After creating or renaming a device in the C by GE app, simply ask “Alexa, discover devices” to have them work with Amazon Alexa. • Create an Alexa group, like Bedroom or Downstairs, and add the device to the group in the Alexa app. More information is available at Create a Smart Home Device Group (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home-groups)
Once you know the name or group name for your devices, you can say the following: - You can turn C by GE devices on or off, for example: “Alexa, turn off my bedroom lights” - You can change the brightness, for example: “Alexa, brighten living room lights to 75%”, or “Alexa, dim the living room lights” - You can control the shade of white on your Tunable White and Full Color light bulbs, for example: “Alexa, set the kitchen lights to cool white” or “Alexa, set bedroom to warm white” Find more information about connecting smart home devices at Connect a Smart Home Device to Alexa (http://tinyurl.com/alexa-smart-home).
