Do you live in the City of Los Angeles and would like your Christmas Tree picked up by LA Sanitation? Use this skill to schedule a service request for your collection (based on your trash collection day), check the status, reschedule, and cancel a request. This is a pilot program initiated by LA Sanitation & Environment for the 2020 Christmas Season for single-family and multi-family homes.
Please ensure that your account has an email address associated with it and you provide permissions so that the skill can access your contact detail. All the collection status notifications will be directed to the email address in your account.
Simply say 'Alexa, open Christmas tree collection' to launch the skill.
The skill works in English and Spanish based on your account language settings.
You can optionally enable the device address or location permission for LA Sanitation to use that as your collection address.
The LA Sanitation Department needs your name, phone, and email address to send you the pickup notifications.
Permissions for Device location and geolocation are OPTIONAL and you can choose to keep them turned off. In that case, the skill will ask for your address during the pickup request.
