The Faction has sewn chaos in the United States and the States are on the brink of collapse! You are needed to unify the States to defeat the Faction.
Gameplay: You and the Faction will be given 4 states at random each with 2 armies. You will both alternate for 3 rounds placing 3 armies on any of the 4 states controlled (resulting in you and faction possessing 4 states and 17 armies each). Each of the remaining 40 states (this game excludes Alaska and Hawaii) will have 2 neutral armies.
Turn rules: 1) Placing new armies - this depends on the number of states under the player's control. 2) A player can choose to attack any state adjacent to a state the player controls 3) Defense is boasted by terrain between the attacker and defender (rivers - 50% and mountains - 100%) 4) At the end of a turn, the player can choose to move armies from one adjacent state to another or simply end their turn.
Battle Rules: When attacking, the odds are calculated based on the number of armies on either side. Additionally, the terrain between the states will increase the defense's power. mountains increase by 100% and rivers by 50%. An attack is broken up into a series of battles. The number of battles is determined by the the type of border: default: 5, river: 3, mountains: 2.
For example: (Maryland has 8 armies and Virginia has 4) "Attack Virginia from Maryland" Real Battle odds: 7 (attacker must leave 1 army behind) : 6 (river between the states adds 50% - 2 armies) Since there is a river, there will be 3 battles - meaning 3 armies will be killed from the sum of both sides.
Moves: an army starts out with 2 moves. an army needs 1 move to attack. it costs 2 moves to attack across river and mountains - other moves costs 1.
Commands: Place armies: "place 3 armies in Maryland" Attack X from Y: "Attack Virginia from Maryland". you may also say "Attack Virginia" Move Z armies from X to Y: "Move 4 armies from Virginia to Maryland" (automatically ends turn). you may also say Move armies from Virginia to Maryland to move all armies. End turn: "End turn" Where the enemy?: "..." Where are my armies?: "..." How many armies are in X?: "How many armies are in Virginia?" which states border X: "Which states border Maryland?" this also states the strength and ownership of each state list border: "what is the border between Maryland and Virginia" surrender game: "surrender" get single player rank: "what is my rank?"
Army Generation: At the beginning of each turn, the player gets to place Z new armies. where Z is the number of states occupied divided by 2 (rounding down). 2 armies will be provided at a minimum.
Game Modes: singleplayer: play against an AI. The faster you beat the AI the higher you will climb in the rankings. multiplayer: play against real people in the world. In these games, you have maximum of 24 hours to make your move!
Important Notes: 1) When a state is captured, all the armies except 1 are moved into the captured state 2) Only 1 move command is allowed per turn. Once the move command is executed, the turn ends.
