Stockroom management doesn't always follow best practices when casual users are involved. While it might be second nature for a manager to update inventory every time a transaction occurs, other users may forget about the "behind the scenes" actions that happen to make sure the stockroom is, in fact, stocked.
We found that combining the features of Amazon Alexa and Echo with the Procurement features of Coupa to determine inventory balances, reorder items that are low or out of stock, and find item locations would provide powerful automation features for our customers. This resulted in more accurate balances and fewer cycle counts.When an Alexa device is set up for a specific warehouse or stockroom anyone who works with inventory can use Alexa to find and update inventory and order new items.
