The Coursera skill for Alexa provides you with the information you need to keep up in your courses on Coursera. Once you enable the Coursera skill, you can ask Alexa about your course progress, assignment due dates, and grades (available in January 2020) so that you have the critical information you need to stay on track with your learning.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you’re learning online, whether you’re taking one course or multiple courses. Now all of the information you need to help you stay motivated to achieve your personal and professional learning goals is just a single voice command away.
Get started with three easy steps: Visit https://www.coursera.org/ and register for an account. Explore the catalog and enroll in a course. Select the “Enable” button in the Alexa App to link your Coursera account.
Note: If you use your email address to log into Coursera, you can sign in using your email and password. If you use Facebook login, you need to link your Coursera and Facebook accounts before you can enable the Coursera skill on Alexa. To link your accounts, go to https://www.coursera.org/account-settings and click on "Link my Facebook Account" under the "Linked Accounts" section.
Once you link Alexa with Coursera and have enrolled in a course on Coursera, simply ask the following:
For assignments, you can say: - Alexa, when is my next assignment due? - Alexa, what do I have due tomorrow?
For your course progress, you can ask Alexa to ask Coursera: - Alexa, ask Coursera if I’m on track - Alexa, ask Coursera if I’m making progress
Note: Course progress is a beta feature. To get course progress information, you have to say, “Alexa, ask Coursera if I’m on track.”
