The Dominion Energy Skill for Alexa offers customers access to their account balance and due dates as well as their energy usage stats. To access these features, customers must link their Alexa and Dominion Energy accounts by following the "link account" link located in the Skill settings. All users (including non-customers) are granted access to an array of cost saving tips designed to help one save energy and ensure their residential or commercial properties are operating at top efficiency. Users may also access safety tips regarding electric and natural gas energy solutions. All users may retrieve emergency, customer service, and other region-specific service contact information for all our service regions.
To enable and invoke the skill, simply say “Alexa, open Dominion Energy”. Once the skill is opened, sample phrases include: “what is my account balance” “what is my energy usage” “what are your cost saving tips” “what are your safety tips” “what is your contact information” “what is your emergency contact information" Similarly, to directly access information in a single phrase without first saying “Alexa, open Dominion Energy”, sample phrase include: “Alexa, ask Dominion Energy what my account balance is” “Alexa, ask Dominion Energy what my energy usage is” “Alexa, ask Dominion Energy for cost savings tips” “Alexa, ask Dominion Energy for safety tips” “Alexa, ask Dominion Energy for their contact information” “Alexa, ask Dominion Energy for their emergency contact information”
Once invoked, to at any time learn what this skill has to offer, say “Alexa, what are my options”. To end your interaction, just say “Alexa, quit” at any time.
