When Buzz Lightyear, a space-ranger, takes Woody's place as Andy's favorite toy, Woody doesn't like the situation and gets into a fight with Buzz. Buzz accidently falls out the window and Woody is accused by all the other toys of having killed him. He has to go out of the house to look for him so that they can both return to Andys room. But while on the outside they get into all kinds of trouble while trying to get home. In Toy Story Buzz tries to fly, but instead crashes down the stairs, breaks his Left Arm. Woody follows Buzz into the machine but Andy's toy-abusing neighbor, Sid Phillips, arrives and operates The machine that Woody and Buzz are in. Sid uses the claw to snag Buzz, but Woody holds onto Buzz, and they are both collected and taken To Sid's house. At Sid's house, the duo attempts to escape before Andy's moving day. They encounter Sid's abused toy creations and his vicious Bull terrier and Scud.
